Expecting Soon?

  • Before your child's birth, you can arrange a meeting with the doctors to get to know them and the practice. This service is free and available to anyone.
  • We have a Certified Lactation Consultant on site to help with breastfeeding needs and questions.
  • Our doctors will come to the hospital within 24 hours of your child being born to complete a physical. Our doctors will also follow up daily while you are in the hospital until you get discharged.


Hospital Affiliations:

Our physicians have privileges at HCA hospitals Johnston-Willis and Chippenham and at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center. The ONLY Pediatric Emergency room is located at Chippenham Hospital.


Well Check Schedule:

Infants:

  • Follow-up after hospital visit within 1 week
  • 1 month well
  • 2 month well
  • 4 month well
  • 6 month well
  • 9 month well
  • 12 month well
  • 15 month well
  • 18 month well
  • 2 years old
  • 2 1/2 years old

3 years to 5 years:

  • Once per year after birthday

6 years to 18 years:

  • We recommend one per year if insurance allows

School Entrance:

  • The exam must be done within 1 year of entry into Kindergarten or Elementary School

Sports Physicals:

  • Children playing sports need a valid physical after May 1st. For example,children playing sports in fall of 2009 need a physical after May 1, 2009.
