In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her 3 children. She is active in their activities, following and cheering them on. She enjoys watching her sons play baseball and wrestling. She is a fan of most athletics and played volleyball and softball growing up in the suburbs of Chicago.
Karen received her BSN from Elmhurst College outside of Chicago. She worked as the school nurse at the American High School in Baumholder Germany for a little over 2 years. After returning stateside, she has predominantly worked as a nurse on the Mother-Infant Units and Newborn Nursery at MCV, Memorial Regional Medical Center, and St. Francis Medical Center. She then returned to advance her education and received her MSN as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from VCU. She joined Chesterfield Pediatrics in February 2013.
